About Marilyn

Marilyn began her career as a speech-language pathologist before founding Nyman Associates. Since then, she combined her expertise in the science of communication with the science of business and launched the Nyman Group. Marilyn is an executive leadership coach/consultant, a noted speaker at international events, and lecturer at a number of prestigious universities. Marilyn earned her B.A. from George Washington University and a M.Ed. from Northeastern University.

About Colleen

“Helping patients’ hopes turn into reality has been the most rewarding gift as a Speech Pathologist.”

Colleen started her career as a Speech Language Pathologist with Nyman Associates, Inc., in 1991 as a clinical fellow. She earned a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from Temple University. Colleen is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has mentored many clinical fellows in their quest to become ASHA certified speech pathologists. As the ASHA CE Administrator for Nyman Associates, Colleen collaborates with ASHA to provide exciting continuing education programs. She has had vast experience in treating communication and swallowing disorders in a variety of medical and outpatient settings.

Melissa Newpher Edwards

About Sr. Director, Operations

Melissa earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Speech Language Pathology from Bloomsburg University. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Melissa’s career has been focused on supporting students and SLPs in educational settings.  From 2008 through 2014, she provided speech and language service to students in Elementary, Middle and High School settings as well as in the Early Intervention setting as an Itinerant SLP and Lead Classroom SLP. Prior to joining the Nyman Team, she directly supported speech language pathologists as a program administrator as she holds her Supervisor of Special Education Certification. Melissa’s passion is to support speech language pathologists who are making a daily impact on the students they work with each day. She feels privileged to work with such impactful professionals every day!

Gary Weber

General Manager

About Gary

Since 2014, Gary manages all non-clinical functions of the organization, bringing to Nyman Associates 20 years of business process optimization and technology innovation experience. Gary is a frequent guest speaker at universities and industry events on the topic of applying technology for business insight and improvements. Additionally, Gary was a member of the team responsible for development of patented system and method for interactive distance learning.
